Setting up the Belkin AC1200 or AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender



The Belkin AC1200 or AC750 Dual-Band Wi-Fi Range Extender is a 802.11ac 2x2 simultaneous dual-band wireless range extender.

It allows you to expand your Wi-Fi network to get content and stream videos or music on your mobile devices. This report will direct you on the best way to set it up correctly.

Step 1:

Plug the range extender into a wall outlet.


Step 2:

Connect your wireless client device to the default SSID of your range extender.


QUICK TIP: The default wireless name of this Belkin range extender will be Belkin.Setup.


Step 3:

Access any web browser and go to belkin.range to begin the Setup Wizard.


NOTE: Alternatively, you may access the web-based installation page utilizing http://192.168.206.1.


Step 4:

Click Start Setup.


QUICK TIP: The automatic software upgrade is checked by default.

NOTE: To skip the Setup Wizard, click on the Manual Setup link in the bottom of the page.


Step 5:

Select your wireless network name. If you are stretching a dual-band router, pick either of your wireless network titles.


QUICK TIP: If your wireless system isn't about the list, click on the Refresh icon to automatically upgrade the listing.


Step 6:

Enter your wireless password and click Next.

Your prolonged network is the wireless network of the extender that your client devices will relate to. It automatically names your Desktop Computer with an _Ext suffix. You may even customize your extended network by changing the Network Title , Password along with Security mode. Then, click on Next to keep.


Based on the location of your extender, the Spot Finder will give you with hints to adjust the extender's place to achieve superior performance.


Step 7:

On the Safe your scope extender webpage, enter your preferred admin password to get your extender's preferences. You might also make a sign password. After that, click on Conserve .


QUICK TIP: The trick text is visible once you log in.


Step 8:

Your scope extender will now restart. Wait until the LED turns blue, then connect your wireless customer to the extender's domain. When the Next button opens green, click on it.

NOTE: The Next button will NOT turn green till you aren't linked to this extenders wireless network name.


Setup is now complete. Click http://belkin.range connection to access the scope extender's web-based installation page and update its settings.


You must now have set your range extender.
